Fenton plans modern line; maybe "strictly" modern The big news at Fenton Art Glass, Williamstown, West Va., facous for its early American ware, is that a modern line may be developed in time for showing in Pittburgh in January. According to Wilmer C. Fenton, sales manager, the modern pieces may be " strictly modern"; that is to say, modern treatments on modern shapes. Then again, Fenton ma decide to show its modern treatments on early American shapes. As C&CJ went to press with this issue, Fentonwas still huddled with its designer, Stanley Fistick, as to exactly what line the new ware would follow. The firm also plans new pieces in milk Glass, variations in treatment on the Peachcrest line, and several new antique reproductions. {1047} |
